Definition of nanomaterials
On 18 October 2011 was provided for the first time a clear definition of nanomaterials applicable to future legislation. The European Commission will review this definition in 2014.

Second regulatory review
On 3 October 2012 the European Commission released this communication which constitutes the follow-up to the 2008 Commission Communication on regulatory aspects of nanomaterials.
