Sirena - TSS - Technological Surveillance System

TSS - Technological Surveillance System

This database compiles basic information of relevant sources available on the World Wide Web that are aligned with the main objectives of SIRENA including title, authors, publication date and a brief abstract. Information has been captured, critically reviewed and selected for its inclusion in this database in the execution of the Technological Surveillance System implemented in SIRENA (Preparatory Action A.1.).

Captured information is classified according to one of the next five topics:

  1. Nanomaterials used in the production of nanocomposites.
  2. Real processes that cause release of nanomaterials. Physico-chemical characterization of generated samples in the release and associated (eco)toxicological profile. Methods to quantify the release
  3. Nanomaterials release simulation technologies. Physico-chemical characterization of generated samples in the release and associated (eco)toxicological profile. Methods to quantify the release
  4. Related regulatory and standardisation activities
  5. Nanocomposites market

SIRENA’s TSS database was released via project’s webpage on September, 2013. The information included is updated on a three monthly basis.
